Terms of Service

BranchdIn is an independent, student-run project. It is not officially affiliated with, operated by, or endorsed by Florida State University, the University of Florida, or any other school, club, fraternity, or sorority whose name may appear on it. By creating an account, you agree to the terms below.

Who can use this

You must be a real, current student or a real alumnus/alumna of a participating school, using your actual identity. You agree not to:

• Claim to attend a school, or belong to an organization, that you don't actually have a real connection to.
• Impersonate another real person.
• Create or use an invite link to let someone in who isn't who the link was actually meant for.
• Use the coffee chat, Connect, or messaging features to harass, spam, or solicit anyone.

We rely on real people vouching for each other to keep this trustworthy. Some claims (marked "self-reported") are honor-system only and haven't been vouched for by anyone, that label exists so nobody is misled about how verified a claim actually is.

Removing accounts or content

We can remove any account, organization, post, or message that violates these terms, or that a real member flags as fraudulent, harassing, or fake, at our discretion and without advance notice.

No warranty

BranchdIn is provided "as is" and "as available," with no warranty of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any introduction, coffee chat, job posting, or organization claim made through it is accurate. You are responsible for your own judgment in every interaction that happens through this app.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BranchdIn and its creator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including anything that happens during or as a result of a meeting, chat, or introduction arranged through it. You use this service at your own risk.

Changes

These terms may change as the app changes. Continuing to use BranchdIn after an update means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
